Lucille Mulhall – aka Queen of the Rodeo, Queen of the Western Prairie and Queen of the Saddle – was, according to Teddy Roosevelt, the first real cowgirl. And not only did she kick the cowboys’ butts in roping and riding events, but she was also a vaudeville performer and she ran her own rodeo troupe, Lucille Mulhall’s Roundup.
