Anonymous asked: I think you'd have to give the edge to Johnson instead of Kennedy. The Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, and the creation of Medicare and Medicaid were (and are) hugely important, even if Johnson deserves some demerits for the Vietnam War. Kennedy had relatively few achievements, and none of that magnitude. It's not like he was blameless when it came to Vietnam, either.

I hate Kennedy for being a cheating bastard. Unfortunately, as a historian, I can also acknowledge the good he did for the US. That doesn’t stop him from being a bastard.
