China has over 100 man-made pyramids. They were first discovered in 1945 at the end of WWII (above) but pictures were hidden by the US military for decades. It didn’t help that the next “breakthrough” was by a German writer and author who claimed the pyramids were proof of aliens visiting ancient China. Today, they are still relatively unknown, but tourists are starting to visit.
